Our Philosophy

Since the age of twenty, I have traveled between Thailand and Japan, building deep ties with this country through commerce. What began as small-scale sourcing of sundries and clothing gradually evolved as I was drawn to the warmth and vitality of the Thai people, nurturing a growing desire to take on new challenges here. In 2014, I gave form to that aspiration and founded octo in Bangkok.

More than a decade has passed since our founding, and what started with a single T-shirt has grown into an enterprise spanning three brands and a team of over one hundred. Yet no matter how much our scale has changed, the principles I hold most dear in management remain the same.

The first is to never stop challenging ourselves. The moment we become complacent, growth ceases. Launching new brands, entering new markets, pursuing new forms of craftsmanship — we continually take the next step forward.

The second is to never lose sight of the perspective of creating for someone who will be delighted. The garments we create are not mere products. We aspire to bring even a small measure of color and smiles to the daily lives of the customers who choose them. That aspiration is the starting point for everything we do.

"One for all" — we deliberately chose to set aside "All for one." When each individual thinks of the whole, the organization becomes its strongest. One person's work becomes someone else's support, and someone else's achievement becomes one's own joy. We believe it is precisely this virtuous cycle that enriches each person's life.

Is not the greatest happiness in life found not in wealth, but in bringing joy to others? When one truly feels that one's actions have brought smiles to someone's face, that is when genuine fulfillment is achieved.

Our mission is to enrich society through our endeavors and deliver happiness. That happiness, in turn, will invariably find its way back to us.

For over twenty years, I have been connected to Thailand. I wish to repay, even in some small way through our business, the debt of gratitude I owe to this country that has nurtured me. octo will continue to be a company that delivers smiles to everyone it touches.
